Politeknik Piksi Ganesha Introduces Lactation Room to Support Nursing Mothers

In a significant step toward supporting gender equality and promoting a balanced work-study life, Politeknik Piksi Ganesha has officially introduced a dedicated lactation room on its campus. The facility, designed specifically to support nursing mothers, aims to provide a comfortable and private space for female students, lecturers, and staff to express breast milk, helping them manage their academic and professional responsibilities while continuing to care for their newborns. That aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5) – Gender Equality.

“For us, gender equality isn’t just about equal opportunities but also about creating an environment where everyone’s needs are respected and addressed,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. H. K. Prihartono A. H., Drs., S.Sos., S.Kom., M.M., MOS., CMA., MPM, the director of Politeknik Piksi Ganesha.

By providing such spaces, educational institutions not only empower women to continue their studies and careers but also contribute to a broader societal shift toward gender equality and inclusivity.
