Workshop on analyzing the suitability of study programs with the needs of the world of work competencies based on the Bandung City area

The implementation of the workshop on the analysis of the suitability of the Study Program with the needs of the world of work competencies based on the region was carried out to find out information on the needs of competencies in certain job positions in a region, especially in the city of Bandung.

This workshop was attended by lecturers and students of the Piksi Ganesha Polytechnic, with speakers from various influential industries in the city of Bandung, namely PT. Makerindo, Bapelitbang Bandung City, BBPVP PT. Bank BNI Tbk,

In this workshop, several important things were conveyed, namely the importance of soft skills in the world of work, because they focus on how someone interacts with others and how they manage themselves in various situations. Although technical skills (hard skills) are very much needed to carry out specific tasks, soft skills determine how someone works in a team, adapts to change, and faces unexpected challenges.

“In a competitive world of work, candidates who have a combination of technical skills and soft skills are often more attractive to companies. Soft skills show that someone can work well in a team, manage responsibilities, and adapt to changing workplace dynamics”, as conveyed by Drs. H. Yaya Sunarya, M.Si, Head of Government Planning and Human Development, Bappelitbang of Bandung City

The results obtained are Job vacancy information, competencies about the jobs offered, Job position requirements information, regional development plans.
