Politeknik Piksi Ganesha’s recent collaboration with the Batununggal Sub-District signifies a broader commitment to supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at a local level. While the institution is not directly involved in national or regional SDG policy-making, it contributes by addressing local challenges in informatics, small business growth, and health. These targeted initiatives help identify and address pressing community needs, providing practical data and feedback that could inform broader policy development and adaptive management aligned with the SDGs.

“We aim to empower our community through education and tailored support,” stated Prihartono, Director of Politeknik Piksi Ganesha. This community-driven approach reflects the institution’s dedication to sustainable, practical impact that aligns with SDG principles.

By prioritizing community well-being, Politeknik Piksi Ganesha creates an environment where students engage with real-world challenges, contributing meaningfully to local sustainability efforts and providing a model for adaptive, community-centric solutions.

The partnership will focus on three key areas:

1. Informatics: Politeknik Piksi Ganesha will provide training and support to the community in the field of informatics, helping to enhance digital literacy and skills among local residents.
2. UMKM Development: The polytechnic will work with the Batununggal Sub-District to support the growth and development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKMs) in the area, offering business mentorship, marketing assistance, and access to resources.
3. Health: Politeknik Piksi Ganesha will collaborate with the sub-district to address health-related concerns, potentially through the provision of healthcare services, health education, and community outreach programs.
