Collaborative Commitment for Sustainable Campus and Environmental Conservation: Reforestation and Waste Management Initiatives in Bandung

Bandung, November 14, 2024 – Politeknik Piksi Ganesha and the Bandung City Government have signed a joint commitment to promote reforestation and sustainable waste management within campus environments. Held at Bandung City Hall, the agreement was formalized by Assoc. Prof. Dr. H. K. Prihartono AH, Director of Politeknik Piksi Ganesha, and Mayor Ir. A. Koswara, M.P. This initiative aims to tackle pressing environmental issues such as climate change, ecosystem degradation, and urban waste, while supporting global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) like Climate Action, Life on Land, and Sustainable Cities and Communities.

As part of the collaboration, tree seedling planting activities involving faculty and students will take place at Taman Kehati Bandung on December 3, 2025. Additionally, a formal ceremony with university leaders will be held on December 14, 2024, to reinforce the partnership. These efforts reflect the commitment of both parties to fostering a greener and more sustainable future for Bandung.

2. Taman Kehati Bandung for tree planting and related activities.
