Politeknik Piksi Ganesha Signs MOU with Polytechnic University of The Philippines for Cultural Activities

Nopember 29th, 2024 -PUP, Manila

Politeknik Piksi Ganesha and Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on cultural activities aimed at promoting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The agreement, set to kick off in February 2025, will feature a series of cross-cultural exchanges, workshops, and performances designed to raise awareness and inspire action on global sustainability issues.

Both institutions have emphasized the role of cultural engagement in fostering social inclusivity, education, and community development—core components of SDGs such as Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11). The activities will not only highlight the rich cultural heritage of Indonesia and the Philippines but also serve as a platform for students to explore and promote sustainable practices through creative expression.

The MOU also outlines plans for joint cultural festivals, online exhibitions, and sustainability-focused community outreach, with an emphasis on using art and culture as powerful tools for social change. Both universities look forward to the impact this partnership will have in building cross-cultural understanding and supporting SDG initiatives across both nations.
