Mastering Professional Dining Etiquette: Table Manner Training for Politeknik Piksi Ganesha Students

Bandung, December 13, 2024 – Politeknik Piksi Ganesha successfully organized a table manner training program at The Papandayan Hotel, Bandung, as part of its commitment to equipping students with essential professional skills. The event, attended by 475 graduating students set to receive their degrees in December 2024, aimed to enhance their social and professional etiquette, preparing them for success in the working world.
The training was officially inaugurated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. H. K. Prihartono AH, M.M., MOS., CMA., MPM., MBA, the Director of Politeknik Piksi Ganesha. Joining him were the Heads and Secretaries of various academic programs, underscoring the importance of this initiative.
“This event not only fosters professional competence but also promotes an understanding of cultural and social norms, which are equally important in building a successful career,” remarked Dr. Prihartono in his opening speech.
The program introduced participants to various aspects of dining etiquette, including:

Proper Sitting Posture
Using Dining Tools Appropriately
Polite Eating Techniques
Table Conversation Etiquette

Students were guided through each stage, gaining hands-on experience in mastering these essential skills. The training emphasized the role of dining etiquette in creating a positive professional image and enhancing interpersonal interactions in formal settings.
As part of Politeknik Piksi Ganesha’s broader efforts to deliver quality education aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, this program highlighted the institution’s dedication to holistic student development.
The students expressed their appreciation for the event, noting that the training was both insightful and practical. “I feel more confident now about attending professional events and maintaining proper etiquette,” shared one of the graduating students.
This initiative reflects Politeknik Piksi Ganesha’s ongoing commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically capable but also socially adept, ready to thrive in the global workforce.
