Piksi Ganesha Polytechnic Leads Sustainable Good Health and Well-being
Piksi Ganesha Polytechnic, a leading vocational higher education institution in Indonesia, is proud to announce its commitment to providing sustainable sanitation and clean water solutions for its students. As part of ongoing efforts to create a healthy and environmentally friendly campus environment, the polytechnic has taken significant steps to ensure the welfare and safety of its community.
In support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, collaborative community health initiatives are essential to ensure access to quality health services and promote healthy lifestyles. In this context, Clinic Prima Husada and Piksi Ganesha Polytechnic partnered to conduct a health screening and education program Maleer Village, Bandung, aiming to improve the overall health awareness and early detection of diseases among the local population. Maleer Village is an urban area in Bandung characterized by high population density and limited access to preventive health services. Common health issues in the area include non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, diabetes, and obesity. Many residents lack adequate health literacy and regular medical check-ups. This initiative was designed to bridge the health service gap and raise awareness through a proactive, community-based approach. The activity, held in April 2025, involved free health screenings including blood pressure checks, blood glucose tests, BMI measurements, and health consultations. The event was hosted at a local community center and was facilitated by professional healthcare workers from Clinic Pratama Prima Husada, alongside health students and faculty from Piksi Ganesha Polytechnic.
“At Piksi Ganesha Polytechnic, we believe that collaborative community health initiatives are essential to ensure access to quality health services and promote healthy lifestyles is a fundamental right for all students,” said Prihartono, Chancellor of Piksi Ganesha Polytechnic. “By taking a proactive approach to addressing these issues, we are not only improving the quality of life for our campus community but also setting an example for other educational institutions to follow.”
