Vietnam – May 22–24, 2025
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – May 22–24, 2025 – Candra Mecca Sufyana proudly represented Indonesia from Politeknik Piksi Ganesha at the ASIAN Global Regional Academic Sustainability Summit (A-GRASS) 2025, organized by the Asia-Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCORE), held in Ho Chi Minh City. He was selected as a delegate for Sustainable Development Goal 9 (SDG 9): Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, reflecting Indonesia’s growing emphasis on technological innovation and sustainable infrastructure development across various sectors.
During the summit, Candra delivered an insightful seminar titled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Developing Hospital Information Management Systems to Improve Efficiency.” He emphasized the transformative potential of AI in streamlining hospital operations, reducing administrative burden, and enhancing patient care through intelligent data management and predictive analytics. His presentation highlighted real-world applications and future possibilities, aligning with SDG 9’s goals of fostering resilient infrastructure and innovation. The Research concluded that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is significantly enhancing Hospital Information Management Systems (HIMS) by automating administrative tasks, improving data accuracy, and supporting clinical decision-making through real-time data analysis. It also boosts data security with advanced encryption and threat detection. While AI integration offers major benefits like improved efficiency, reduced errors, and compatibility with technologies such as IoT and telemedicine, challenges remain—including high costs, infrastructure gaps, and strict data regulations. To fully harness AI’s potential, healthcare institutions must invest in policy development, staff training, and cybersecurity. With the right strategies, AI can drive the transformation toward smarter, more efficient, and secure hospital systems.
Candra’s participation not only showcased Indonesia’s commitment to leveraging technology for sustainable development but also inspired collaboration among Southeast Asian nations. His seminar sparked significant interest from researchers, healthcare professionals, and digital technology experts across the ASEAN region, who recognized the importance of AI in strengthening healthcare infrastructure. A-GRASS 2025 served as a platform for young leaders and professionals to share breakthroughs that advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. With delegates from over ten countries, the summit encouraged meaningful exchanges of ideas. Candra Mecca Sufyana’s contributions exemplified the role of youth in shaping the future of innovation and sustainable infrastructure across Southeast Asia.
