Politeknik Piksi Ganesha Strengthens Community Engagement through BUMDes Administrative Management Training

Sekatak Bengara Village, Bulungan Regency — July 2, 2025

As part of efforts to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1: No Poverty and SDG 4: Quality Education, Politeknik Piksi Ganesha in collaboration with Cibeunying Sub-district, Cimenyan District, Bandung Regency organized an Administrative Management Training Program for the management team of BUMDes Pesona Bengara. This initiative represents a concrete step toward promoting digital transformation at the village level.

The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of BUMDes administrators in administrative processes, financial administration, and digital data management. By adopting more effective and efficient systems, BUMDes is expected to become a stronger driver of local economic development.

Participants in this training included the Director and Secretary of BUMDes Pesona Bengara, who actively engaged in the sessions. The training was facilitated by university students majoring in Information Systems Management and Financial Administration, combining academic knowledge with practical insights to modernize the village’s administrative practices.

The facilitators introduced basic administrative management concepts, financial reporting tools, and simple digital platforms to support daily operations. This approach aligns with the broader goal of accelerating digital transformation in rural areas, thereby contributing to long-term economic resilience and sustainability.

“This training is very important for us as it helps strengthen our administrative foundations and introduces us to simple digital tools that can improve our daily operations,” said Muhammad Arifin As, Director of BUMDes Pesona Bengara. “We hope that with better management, BUMDes can contribute more significantly to the welfare of our village community.”

Beyond its role as a business unit, BUMDes is envisioned as a center for community learning and capacity building. This supports SDG 4 (Quality Education), which emphasizes inclusive and relevant education and training for all—particularly in preparing rural communities for a digital future.

At the same time, a well-managed and digitally capable BUMDes can help create new jobs and economic opportunities within the village, directly contributing to SDG 1 (No Poverty), which targets the eradication of poverty in all its forms.

This initiative highlights the important role of higher education institutions in empowering communities, reducing poverty, and strengthening local economies. By combining academic expertise with community engagement, Politeknik Piksi Ganesha demonstrates its commitment to building a more connected, productive, and sustainable village economy through digital transformation.
