Politeknik Piksi Ganesha Strengthens International Collaboration to Support SDGs 4, SDGs 17, and Sustainable Village Development

Bandung, August 9, 2025 – Politeknik Piksi Ganesha Bandung participated in a preparatory meeting for strategic collaboration with Gema Foundation, Yangzhou Polytechnic University (China), Director International Edu Center, China Education Online, representatives from Kopertip, and SEAMEO Qitep Indonesia. The meeting, held at SEAQIS Bandung, discussed plans for international cooperation covering joint research, student exchanges, internship programs, scholarships, and various mutually beneficial academic and vocational collaborations.
One of the main initiatives is online language training for both Mandarin and Indonesian. The initial target for Mandarin language training covers 100 schools with 1,000 participants across Indonesia. This program aims to enhance language skills, broaden cross-cultural understanding, and prepare young generations—including those from rural areas—to compete on the global stage.
This collaboration is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
SDG 4 – Quality Education: providing inclusive and equitable educational access, including for rural students, equipping them with language skills and global perspectives that can support their careers and contribute to the development of their home regions.
SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: building strategic cross-country partnerships, strengthening academic networks, and promoting the exchange of knowledge, culture, and technology between Indonesia and China.
The initiative also supports sustainable village development programs by preparing skilled human resources from rural areas who can seize international opportunities and bring back knowledge and experiences to develop local potential, including in creative industries, tourism, and appropriate technology.
The Director of Politeknik Piksi Ganesha emphasized that this collaboration marks an important milestone in delivering future-oriented vocational education, ensuring that the benefits are not only felt in major cities but also reach villages across Indonesia.
