Empowering Intercultural Collaboration: Siti Insani Highlights the Role of Digital Futures at International Seminar
Bandung, Sept 03, 2025 – In a compelling presentation at the International Seminar “Study–Multi Culture and Its Impact on Global Exchanges”, held at the Piksi Convention Center, Siti Insani, SE., MBA, a lecturer at Politeknik Piksi Ganesha, delivered a forward-thinking message on how intercultural collaboration and digital transformation are essential pathways toward achieving UNESCO’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 8 and 17.
Her session, titled “Connected Cultures, Digital Futures: Shaping Tomorrow’s Business Through Intercultural Exchange – A Pathway to SDGs 8 and 17”, explored how diverse cultures, when digitally connected, can create new economic value and social impact, especially for emerging economies in Southeast Asia.
SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth
Siti Insani emphasized that digital literacy must be viewed as a basic economic skill similar to reading and writing in the 21st century. By enabling digital upskilling across cultures, young people and underrepresented communities can access better employment opportunities, foster entrepreneurship, and reduce economic disparity. She highlighted how remote work, digital entrepreneurship, and cross-border startup ecosystems (e.g., between Indonesia and the Philippines) are practical solutions to addressing youth unemployment and informal labor conditions.
SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals
Her presentation also underscored the urgent need for strategic and inclusive international partnerships. In the context of digital globalization, collaboration between governments, academic institutions, and industry stakeholders is critical to building resilient infrastructures for innovation and capacity-building. She advocated for frameworks that support knowledge exchange, student mobility, and joint digital ventures among ASEAN countries to drive sustainable development collectively.
“Global cooperation must be rooted in shared digital competencies. Intercultural partnerships can no longer be optional—they are the foundation of inclusive and sustainable innovation,” stated Siti Insani during her keynote.
