Lecturer from Politeknik Piksi Ganesha Highlights Human Resource Management in Hospital to Support SDG 8 at the ASEAN Global Regional Academic Sustainability Summit (A-GRASS) 2025

Sani Fitriyani proudly represented Indonesia from Politeknik Piksi Ganesha at the ASEAN Global Regional Academic Sustainability Summit (A-GRASS) 2025, held in Ho Chi Minh City. Selected as a delegate for Sustainable Development Goals 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Sani brought forward Indonesia’s perspective on the intersection of workforce innovation and public health within organizational settings. Her participation marked a significant contribution to the ongoing regional dialogue on sustainable human development.
During the summit, Sani delivered a seminar titled “Implementation of Innovative Strategies in Human Resource Management for Organizational Effectiveness.” Her presentation emphasized how modern HR strategies—such as data-driven performance management, employee wellness programs, and adaptive leadership development—can enhance productivity while supporting employee well-being. She highlighted case studies and research insights demonstrating how strategic HR practices contribute to healthier, more resilient, and efficient organizations, aligning with the principles of SDG 8 and SDG 3. The research concluded that The hospital’s success is supported by a culture of teamwork and adaptive leadership. Involving staff in decision-making and encouraging innovation helps the hospital improve continuously and stay sustainable. Technology and strong HR practices have helped Humana Prima Hospital deliver better care and stay competitive in the healthcare industry.
Even though the hospital faces challenges like adapting to new technology and resistance to change, it sees these as chances to grow. Its ongoing efforts to improve HR strategies have created a more positive work environment, leading to better teamwork, satisfaction, and performance among staff. Other healthcare institutions can learn from Humana Prima Hospital’s approach. Important steps include investing in staff training, using digital HR tools, and building a strong, collaborative workplace. By continuing to innovate, the hospital sets a good example of how HR transformation can lead to better healthcare services. Sani’s seminar drew attention from regional HR experts, healthcare leaders, and policy advocates, sparking conversations about the critical need to redesign workplace environments for both economic performance and employee health. She advocated for the integration of mental health support, continuous learning systems, and equitable work policies to drive sustainable organizational growth in Southeast Asia. Her active role at A-GRASS 2025 underscored Indonesia’s commitment to sustainable human capital development and innovation in workforce management. The summit provided a collaborative platform for future leaders to explore how cross-sector innovation can address the challenges of economic inclusion and public health. Sani Fitriyani’s contributions demonstrated the importance of investing in people-centered strategies to achieve long-term impact across industries and communities.
