Dr. Mohammad Anwar Syi’aruddin, S.Hum., M.A.

From a religious perspective, Good Health and Well-being are gifts that must be maintained as a form of gratitude to God. Many religious teachings emphasize the importance of maintaining physical and mental health because the body is a trust. In Islam, for example, there is a hadith that states that “No human being is given anything better and broader than health” (HR. Tirmidhi). Religion also encourages a healthy lifestyle, such as regulating diet, avoiding things that damage the body, and maintaining a balance between worship, work, and rest. By maintaining health, a person can be more optimal in worship, doing good, and contributing to others.
